Amazing experience! Such a cool local piece of history. The food and service here were phenomenal! 100% worth a try if you’ve never been here!!

I had no idea this place still existed! I got so excited I almost cried. I use to beg my parents to take me here as a girl. So many good memories That Bob statue was everything to me. The joy of seeing it open was enough but the food was still good and so was the atmosphere. Will definitely be back to grab up some nostalgia and get a hot fudge cake sundae 😋

Hi yesterday afternoon ate here with my mom , I got a classic big boy burger with fries, Pepsi , iced water while my mom got iced water & Dr. Pepper no ice , the waitress was friendly too, nice service too, delicious foods too. My mom has taken me to the original Bobs Big Boy in Burbank years ago . Thanks again

This applies to the Bog Boy burger, the only thing I ever order at the restaurant. It’s pains me to share this, but I can speak from experience. I grew up near the Big Boy on Riverside Drive and have been a fan of their burgers for almost my entire 71 years. I live 1000 miles away from that particular, Big Boy, and I’ve become quite accomplished at recreating the home version to keep me satisfied until I can visit my burger Mecca – which adds up to once or twice a year. This particular trip was an abject disaster. Maybe my taste buds are changing, but I felt like the burger was haphazardly constructed. There was very little red relish, and the contrast with the mayo was carelessly applied. And it tasted like a salt burger. I mentioned this to my server and, considering the distance I’d come and figuring this was in error, I ordered another à la carte. This one arrived with the bottom bun, watery and mushy. The experience destroyed. Not sure what happened to my Big Boy over the years, but it just was not the same. Maybe they’re spending too much time making Hollywood movies in the restaurant and not enough making sure the cooks are doing it right. I realize it could’ve been a single bad day, so I will try again at some date down the line and update this review.

Great experience! I was looking at movie locations of “Heat” and this place was great. Actually is the scene where Waingro escapes.
Waiters and waitres were so kind and nice, and foods are really genuine!
Thanks for the great time, it was wonderful having lunch there and sitting in the same place where the gang of the movie (Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore and Kevin Gage) were talking.
Definitely will be back
